PROFHILO
PROFHILO is an “in clinic” injectable treatment of stabilised hyaluronic acid (HA) to treat skin laxity.
It has one of the highest concentrations of HA on the market (64g / 2ml) which when injected not only boosts and hydrates the skin, but also remodels any ageing and sagging tissue.
Profhilo delivers results as a stand alone treatment and also in combination with other treatments.
How does Profhilo work?
This is all down to how the product has been developed.
PROFHILO uses a patented technology that results in the bonding of both high and low molecular weight HA without the need for any chemical cross linking.
This thermal cross linking allows the HA to actually improve the laxity of the skin whilst remaining extremely safe.
Profhilo will improve both skin quality and hydration in the dermis and epidermis as well as an increased production of exogenous HA and elastin giving the skin a more youthful appearance.
It is mainly used in medical aesthetics to soften lines on the face which are developed over time by repeated muscle movement and of course by the ageing process. The effect is completely reversible in time and the muscle itself is not damaged.
How is the treatment administered?
PROFHILO is normally injected into 5 injection points on either side of the mid to lower face.
This is called the BAP technique.
The product is injected very slowly and the whole treatment is usually completed withing 3 – 4 minutes.

Frequency of PROFHILO treatments:

1 x treatment and then a 1 x treatment 4 weeks after.

Repeat every 6 months for best results.

Severe laxity may require a subsequent syringe another 4 weeks after 2nd syringe.
